It has been a great effort from Gavin and Nigel. Many doubted that they would complete the swim let alone the bike ride and charge to the Butt of Lewis but I am pleased to report that they made it. However, it was not without the odd problem along the way! The main stumbling block was that Gavs bike was broken even before they set off! Sadly we did not capture this moment on camera! After some futile attempts to mend it they soon decided that it was time to call for a replacement. This just happened to be a family style bike but sadly without the whicker basket on the front. The run thus began behind schedule and unfortunately Nigels knee became very painful and they had to slow the pace a little. They did not reach the butt of Lewis until 12.30 am which was a late finish but they made it and many congratulations to them both. They have done a fantastic job and they deserve your support. Their chosen charity is, Child Victims of Crime. www.justgiving.com/raisemoneyforcvocorg In the meantime please see below for a number of very amateurish videos made on my mobile phone. Some serious issues over sound quality but I hope that you find a few of them worth a look and the odd one may even amuse you a little.... That's it for now but there may be a few more videos to come at a later date... Dickon Wednesday, August 15
